Boy I am impressed!
King Abdullah II of Jordan addressed the US Congress. I saw the live telecast and boy I am impressed .. and that is rare. The speech was frequently interrupted by standing ovations by none other than Madame Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Mr. Vice President Dick Cheney. This guy has it in him.
Post discourse thoughts were however directed towards my own country’s leadership. A BJP loyalist that I am, would nevertheless love to see Rahul Gandhi take the helm. I am quite tired of our octogenarian leaders who have one foot already in their graves.

u seem to have become a prolific blogger while i was busy moving into our new home!!! ...tons of new posts!!! just finished reading them all.....and i too miss Holi of yore.......as a child it was tons of fun going around in the colony with our ragtag bunch ...........and i am yet to read the speech......but for sure, I like his wife.....she's quite a beauty .... :)
i cud not read the speech coz i don't have the membership for NY times!!!meanwhile, a frd shared this particular website which i haven't had time to look thro'......will do later during the weekend...it might be of some interest to u, just in case u were not aware of it and might wanna have a peak at it!!!
