I am certain 80% of the hits on this page have no clue to what 'really' management consulting is all about. You wont untill you do it. A list of discernible Critical Success Factors in this career
1. Persnal life is as important as (have I spelt persnal correctly??)
2. Insomnia. Absolutely essential. A certain illustrious individual I am blessed to subordinate has a modest run of just 70 hrs non stop without sleep.
3. Intelligence. A world just not meant for the dumb.
4. Networking. The proverbial friends at high places.
5. Poyayoke passed physical fitness.
'I am suffering from Malaria'
'Thats fine, but have you done the sensitivity analysis?'
'I can do it only after I have visited the Doc'
'No problem there, you can finish the slides while you wait for your turn'

This one really cracked me up!!! But as mentioned earlier, the problem lies with the company and not the profession. Many from our batch are basking in swimming pools on their client's money. Maybe time to switch companies...
When asked if you could do a sensitivity analysis..you shaould've retorted," yeah sure, right away. Since you rank lowest on the sensitivity scale you're insensitive". :D
