Band: Lordi Album: The Arockalypse
Introduction: Finnish band making
waves all over the world. These guys won the
Eurovision 2006 with their brilliant song 'Hard
Rock Hallelujah'. They are more famous for their
devilish costumes and props. The lead singer is
called Mr. Lordi, Kita on drums, Amen on
guitars, Ox with the bass and Awa on the
keyboards.
Music: Dont be fooled by the looks. If you expect some death metal band with gruesome lyrics then please be obliged to vamoose from this webpage. Lordi is hard rock. They are somewhat close to Bon Jovi playing hard rock. The music is very melodious and I was swaying (NOT head banging!). Vocalist sucks. But even Hetfield(Metallica) was horrrrible in his first album Kill 'em All, so I shouldnt be over critical. The lead guitarist hardly makes his presence felt. Bass is ok. Keyboards are fine.
Filtrate: In spite of my caustic comments, Lordi is a very strong recommend. After years of perdition of music by slut pop/rap has the world appreciated rock. Go and listen to Lordi.

They look freaky enough, though bon jovi is barely hard rock-quite mild.
