Filtrate: Silent Hill is a ghost town shut since the past thirty years. Rose loses her daughter Sharon to the ghost of a little girl who was burnt being condemned as a witch. The town turns into a inferno with anthromorphous creatures sulking around every few hours. The only escape is to take refuge in a church of an secret society who burnt the little girl...
My Tuppence: I didnt understand many things, its a complicated storyline. But brilliant cinematography, direction, photography and decent performances by the cast. The visual effects are awesome. Interestingly only 8 people were in the theatre. When the movie started only 3 !! myself and two other shady guys. In fact the hall was so silent I could hear the whirring of the AC. It was scary but thats why I go there ha ha ... anyways I wouldnt recommend 'Silent Hill' to the more logic seeking audience. Logic and horror/supernatural dont jive together. One must separate the two in order to fairly savor this genre.
