yup...no BITS..but these rankings are always trickloads of crap, though lemme be the first to admit it does feel good when your college is on them..JAM magazine contacted me to help out with their survey and i gave them my (un) biased opinion :)... with our alumni network going hyperactive thins will only get better at COEP...looking forward to the day when we're rubbing shoulders with the MITs and Cornells of the world..Awwaaaz kunacha?? COEP cha!!!!

@yogsma: Abbe kya pharak padta hai. COEP is 15th bas .. baaki sab shete pe :-)

@arkus: Unfortunately, the alumni network of our college is as active as the prehensile tail at the end of my large intestine.

I have made umpteen number of friends and very close friends post COEP and I can fairly conclude that the creed of COEPians (especially boys hostel) is a unique differentited offering for the world.

It is good to see COEP in the list.

Our Alumni network is not very active but recently the COEPFoundation has shown some signs of life.

Also we came up with the idea of an Alumni networking site http://www.aarewah.com but even on that COEPians are not very active. I don't know how much the Alumni organizations are to be blamed when the COEPians do not participate actively.

Dear Ajit

Thanks for visiting my blog and expressing your views. I totally agree with your observations. I have registered on aarewah.com but that was my only involvement. Its a great initiative.

Take Care and God Blesss

Arkus:

Lot of us COEPians would like to do something. The Alumni organizations are working towards contributing back to the college.
I don't know about the amount but I once spoke with Cris D'Souza, one of the directors at COEPFoundation, and he mentioned that they are planning a new revamped Boat club. An International standard conference center and a new Building for some dept. They were in the process of raising money for that.

We can have all such discussions related to COEP at aarewah. Aarewah is supposed to be a place exactly for things like this and of course have fun. We have more than 650 COEPians at aarewah. If we put our heads together we can definitely make it into something worthwhile!

BTW, I saw your post at COEP LINGO..Nice one :)
