Politickle of Bihar

A cataclysmic event. The drubbing of the RJD in Bihar assembly elections. Exit Lalu, Enter
Nitish. What does this herald for the state. I dont know but i am certainly going to closely track
Mr. Nitish reign of (t)error. Heres something stirring down there :-)

"Think Bihar police and chances are that you will think of a pot-bellied cop, betel juice dripping from crimson lips and yellow banyan peeking out impertinently from a uniform that has not seen a laundry for months. Well, if Nitish Kumar's has his way, you should get ready to throw out the stereotype with the rest of your old wardrobe.
The chief minister of Bihar has asked the director-general of police (DGP) Ashish Ranjan Sinha to convey to his men this simple diktat: dress up or be ready for a dressing-down.
In a letter to the DGP, Nitish has made it clear that policemen cannot report for duty with vermilion tikas. High-neck inners are complete no-nos as far as the chief minister is concerned, as are mufflers and civilian shoes, never mind the winter chill."
